Pink For A Day

Last week I posted about how I finally got Kevin Murphy’s Color Bug. If you’re unfamiliar with this product, here’s the gist:  it’s chalk for your hair. Swipe it wherever you want the color to show up (like your bangs, random streaks, or just your ends) and it instantly appears. I suggest you spray it with a little hairspray to help the color set, but I haven’t had a problem with it rubbing off on any of my clothing yet. The best part? It washes right out. So, you can change your look, but without the commitment. How cool is that?

Half-moon Manicure

The half-moon manicure is a great twist on a classic and way simple to do yourself.  All you need is a base/top coat, 2 of your favorite complimentary colors, and those binder reinforcement stickers from grade school.

Step 1 | Start with a base coat (especially if you’re using dark colors).

Step 2 | Paint on the shade you want to be the “half-moon” part of your manicure.  Allow enough time to dry.

Step 3 | Place a sticker on the bottom part of your nail (see picture below).

Step 4 | Paint your other color over your nail and remove the sticker immediately.

Step 5 | Do the same for each nail.

Step  6| Finish with a top coat.

Music Monday

Recently, I had the chance to watch the Taylor Swift Speak Now Tour Live dvd since I missed the show when she came around and always kind of wished I hadn’t. It was amazing. She may not be Adele, but se can hold her own vocally. I thought she sounded great and the entire performance itself was quite cute and entertaining. Seriously, whoever says Swift can’t sing well live or whatever (haters gonna hate and all), should really watch this rather enlightening concert video.
