Last Minute Costume Ideas

There’s nothing worse than waiting until the last-minute. But, when it comes to Halloween costumes, it’s really not that big of a deal. Here are some easy ideas that will most likely work with anything you already have in your closet or a cheap trip to the store, at most.

Animal | Expand beyond the realm of the Mean Girls style animal and try something unexpected. Check the kids aisle (or better yet, borrow) for a dino or giraffe costume or get creative and be the Fantastic Mr. Fox, Danger Mouse, Minnie Mouse, a stuffed Ted, Hello Kitty, or the greatest cat of all time, Choupette.

An Avenger | Because you can find this costume everywhere and anywhere.

Flapper | The Great Gatsby is so 2012.

Britney Spears | There are a lot of options when it comes to being Britney. Be superstar Brit in a sparkly dress and a mic, or the not-so-innocent newcomer in a school girl outfit, or embody crazy Britney with a hoodie, bald cap and an umbrella. Get a group of friends together to be her throughout the decades. Or think outside the box and use her as inspiration. Flight attendant? Ringleader? Fifties waitress? Britney’s been them all.
Iris Apfel | Why not put those hipster glasses to good use.

A fashion girl/man repeller | Just dress up in a bunch of man repelling trends at once and say the shit that they would say.

Lara Croft | Work those cargo shorts and boots while carrying a toy gun.
