{ Lipsy Anglaise Shorts, $59.40 & Broderie Anglais Jacket, $59.40 }

Shorts suits were all the rage this spring, but I’m still feeling them for summer. I love their versatility; you can easily bounce from a business meeting to happy hour in one of these. This suit from ASOS is especially lovely with its nice shell pink color and tailoring, making it an appropriate choice no matter the occasion, even during a heat wave.

Party Animal

Animal motifs are in this fall. So, while I may be lusting after Burberry’s owl sweater, there are several more realistic options out there. If you want to try your hand at the trend, take a look at these.

  2. ASOS Mono Tiger Jumper, $52.77
  3. Kensie Owl Intarsia Sweater, $88
  4. ASOS Panda Jumper, $52.77

TrendSpotting: Oxblood

Oxblood is the color of the season, ladies. But don’t fret, this dark and luxe hue acts more like a neutral than an overpowering statement. Unless you want it to, that is.

  1. Topshop Moto Leigh Skinny Jeans, $76
  2. Essie Lacy Not Racy Nail Polish, $8
  3. Dorothy Perkins Ponte Pencil Skirt, $35
  4. The Limited Faceted Square Cocktail Ring, $16.14 (on sale!)
  5. ModCloth Tights, $14.99

TrendSpotting: Tasseled

This season, there’s something about tassels. Go to any store right now and you’re likely to find them on anything and everything. I like the idea of this trend when done right and in my opinion that relates to size and material. For instance, when it comes to jewelry, I’m drawn to delicate tasseled pieces over large statementy ones in either gold or mixed metals. Save larger tassels for leather accessories like shoes, bags and belts for a look that says ‘chic’ without too much effort.
